Hear ye, hear ye, adoptive families!!! This is coming from a person who knows Kevin very well: “Any family would be blessed to have Kevin.” That lucky family would get a young man who could impress them with his video gaming skills. Kevin likes playing video games so much that he wants to share his exploits with others. “He likes to talk about games he plays,” says a person who knows him well. Like a lot of young boys, Kevin enjoys the action games the best. In addition to video games, Kevin enjoys playing basketball, football and soccer. Kevin dreams of owning his own computer. He also wants to travel to New York. “I want to see the Statue of Liberty,” he says. When he grows up, Kevin wants to become a police officer. For now, he just wants to become a member of a forever family. He says he hopes to play sports and go to sporting events with them.
Kevin is described as a caring and helpful young lad who appears quite shy when he first meets others. “Look beyond this into his heart and you will not believe who you are working with,” says a person who is close to him. At school, Kevin works independently and shows leadership skills, and he says math is his favorite subject.
Kevin wants a single female parent or two female parents. His new parent or parents should be experienced and able to give him the one-on-one attention he needs to thrive. They must be strong advocates for the services that will help Kevin function at his best. They must be patient as Kevin adapts to his new environment. Kevin also would do best as the youngest child in the home. Finally, Kevin has expressed a preference for a family who has pets.
