Join Our PSA Campaign
The cornerstone of our public awareness outreach is a series of public service advertisements (PSAs) with the theme "You Don’t Have to Be Perfect to Be a Perfect Parent." This award-winning campaign, done in partnership with the U.S. Children's Bureau and Ad Council, illustrates that children in foster care don’t need perfection; they need the commitment and love a forever family can provide.
2011 Campaign Focus
The latest series of television, radio, Web, billboard and bus shelter ads focus on the plight of preteens in foster care (children who are ages 8 to 12). There are more than 26,000 preteens currently available for adoption, and this year’s campaign is an effort to raise awareness about that.
Children’s Bureau data shows that the older a child gets, the more difficult it is for them to find a permanent home. Lending donated media space to this important campaign will make a difference in our effort to recruit adoptive families for these children.
