Meet Allan! Allan was born in August 2011. He has been through a significant amount in his short life. He is a healthy male and not taking any medications. He currently struggles in many areas, so would need a family with patience, structure and consistency. He enjoys going out on outings and enjoys the outdoors. He is reserved when you first meet him but opens up as he begins to feel comfortable and gets to know you. He is in need of a family that is able to meet his needs and provide him permanency. He will like to be part of a forever family where he can get the attention and love he deserves and continue to thrive. He will like to be the only child or have an older sibling. He will do best with a family that is active, can provide structure while still demonstrating love and acceptance and a family that is committed to his well-being.
On July 1, 2024, Florida enacted a new law (often referred to as the Permanency for Children law) that limits public access to images of children in the state’s foster care system, particularly those up for adoption. The state wants to be cautious as to who can see and potentially have access to youth’s info. Only approved, background-checked adoptive families can view photos.
