About Sopia
Sophia is a 14-year-old female. She enjoys drawing and making comics and is very skilled in even the tiniest details. Sophia keeps a schedule for her drawings and tracks how much time each drawing takes her to complete. She also enjoys doing digital artwork. Art is often an outlet for Sophia when she is feeling stressed or anxious. She also enjoys playing the piano and doing crafts like making necklaces and bracelets. Sophia has always been a good student and has done very well academically in school. Sophia reports that she has always been an excellent student in school and is highly intelligent. Sophia reports that she is currently in Honors classes in the subjects of math, geometry, biology, and English/language arts. Sophia makes grades of A's and B's. She has never had behavioral problems at school. She has never been written up, suspended, or expelled. Sophia has been part of the Film Club at her school. She has made small, short films. Sophia also reports participation in the Coding Club. She states she has taken a photography class and a hospitality class. On July 1, 2024, Florida enacted a new law (often referred to as the Permanency for Children law) that limits public access to images of children in the state’s foster care system, particularly those up for adoption. The state wants to be cautious as to who can see and potentially have access to youth’s info. Only approved, background-checked adoptive families can view photos.
