About the Siblings
Kensy is a reserved but polite youth who is learning to advocate and become assertive. She is interested in joining the army in the future. Kensy is close and protective of her sibling. She is gaining more confidence in speaking English and does not mind being placed in a home where she can practice her English. Kensy loves fashion, collects makeup, and watches a lot of makeup tutorials. She is interested in becoming more independent and wants to obtain a job when permitted. She likes to play soccer and basketball but is hesitant in joining a team. Kensy gets along with her peers and has close ties with her mother. Kensy is protective, caring, and vocal when she wants to communicate her needs.
Briana is a quiet, guarded, but polite tween. She enjoys spending time in her room, playing games on her phone, playing soccer, and reading. She likes to take walks outside and enjoys spending time at the pool during the summer. Briana is developing into a pre-teen and gaining more confidence in speaking English. She enjoys watching makeup tutorials and spends a lot of time with her sister. Although Briana has hearing aids, she is learning ways to adjust and become more comfortable with wearing them when necessary. Currently, she is working on life skills and independence by learning to prepare meals and doing her own laundry with support and guidance. Briana is developing her own peer and social relationships and spending time in the community with them. Although Briana does very well with younger children, she enjoys her time alone.
In our effort to limit the digital footprint of our children and youth, Virginia has elected to only provide photos to inquiring families. (A digital footprint could be described as a trail left behind when someone uses the internet (e.g. websites visited, social media accounts, photos, etc.). The state wants to be cautious as to who can see and potentially have access to youth’s info.
