Leela is an animal lover. She is very active and likes playing on the playground and swimming. She also enjoys indoor activities like coloring and drawing. Leela looks forward to holidays and loves a good party, especially if it’s her birthday. She likes to find opportunities to dress up and to have her hair and nails done. Leela has a great sense of humor and loves to be silly.
Things I do not like:
Leela prefers to be in a calm environment and says she doesn’t like yelling or screaming. However, she understands that sometimes people will get loud when they are sad or upset. She does not like to be around adults who drink alcohol or smoke.
Favorite Foods:
If you take Leela to the store, she will go directly to the candy aisle to find her favorites which include skittles, sour patch kids, starburst, chocolate, cotton candy, and oreos. She also likes to indulge in boxed mac and cheese, oreo ice cream, and cotton candy ice cream. For healthier options, she will gravitate toward eggs with cheese, cottage cheese, and fruit salad. Leela likes a nice pasta with alfredo sauce. She also enjoys munching on mint gum.
What I want in a family:
If Leela could choose her ideal family, she would want a mom and a dad who like to vacation. She would like to live in a neighborhood with neighbors and doesn’t mind if the town is big or small. Leela has also talked about the importance of her future family understanding how to take care of her hair.
What I want families to know about me:
When asked this question Leela said, “I am good at helping babies when they cry and I am good with pets. I love, love, love Chuck E. Cheese.” Leela also has important relationships within her family of origin, and it is very important for her to stay connected to her grandmother and little sister.
What we want families to know about the youth:
Leela is an exceptionally passionate human, and her love for other people and animals is deep. Leela aspires to be a helper and has dreams of becoming a nurse, doctor, or veterinarian when she grows up. Leela is learning about her heritage, and she is currently hoping to learn more about her black family and culture. Leela will thrive with a family who can commit to developing a close attachment with her and can provide her with ample quality time.
