Saylor is an energetic and affectionate 9-year-old boy with a bright smile and a joyful spirit. Diagnosed with autism, he is currently learning to communicate using words and often expresses himself through actions and affection. Saylor loves being outdoors, especially when he has the chance to jump on a trampoline. He also enjoys dressing up in costumes and, when he feels comfortable with someone, shows affection by holding hands, giving hugs, or gently rubbing his nose against them. Most of the time, Saylor can be found smiling, humming his favorite tunes, and enjoying the world around him. When frustrated, Saylor may pace or grunt to express his feelings.
Saylor will require lifelong support and will continue to depend on caregivers to meet his daily needs and ensure his well-being. With his loving nature, infectious smile, and vibrant personality, Saylor has so much to offer a family. On July 1, 2024, Florida enacted a new law (often referred to as the Permanency for Children law) that limits public access to images of children in the state’s foster care system, particularly those up for adoption. The state wants to be cautious as to who can see and potentially have access to youth’s info. Only approved, background-checked adoptive families can view photos.
