Calvin is a bright, intelligent, and affectionate 8-year-old boy with a curious mind and vibrant, play-loving spirit. Highly family-oriented, he creates warm connections wherever he goes. Calvin loves hands-on activities, superheroes, video games, playing outside, and spending time around babies. He is academically strong and well mannered in many settings. He excels in school and is eager to be helpful around the house, especially when following consistent daily routines. While he is naturally energetic and passionate about sports, especially soccer, he sometimes struggles with impulse control, emotional regulation, and managing peer conflicts. Calvin does best with calm, firm guidance and gentle, private redirection, as public correction can cause him to shut down. With a supportive, structured environment and plenty of encouraging one-on-one attention, his sweet nature and helpful spirit will flourish.

On July 1, 2024, Florida enacted a new law (often referred to as the Permanency for Children law) that limits public access to images of children in the state’s foster care system, particularly those up for adoption. The state wants to be cautious as to who can see and potentially have access to youth’s info. Only approved, background-checked adoptive families can view photos.
