Derrick is a curious young teen with an interest in how things are made. With a quiet nature, he enjoys exploring the world around him and is especially fascinated by the different sounds objects can make. He enjoys sketching on whiteboards, building forts, and listening to piano music, finding happiness in both creativity and observation. Derrick loves sharing fun facts about his interest – alarms, ceiling fans, vehicles - and is always ready to learn something new. He utilizes educational videos to enhance his interest. When it comes to food, he’s a fan of chicken, fruit, chips, and sweet treats. He also enjoys relaxing with his favorite shows or jumping and navigating indoor playgrounds. Derrick is currently in the ninth grade.
All family types will be considered. Derrick will require a family that is willing to support him through a transitional plan prior to placement. Derrick has a significant sibling connection to maintain pre and post adoption. Financial assistance may be available for adoption-related services.
