About Allie

Allie is a thoughtful and compassionate young person who enjoys learning, creating, and being active. She loves to read, especially mystery, fantasy, and horror stories, and she is proud of her ability to read at a high level. The Harry Potter series is a favorite, and she enjoys talking about the stories and characters. Allie also likes poetry and art, and she is skilled at expressing herself through both. Her interests extend to Legos, and anything related to sharks; she appreciates sharks because she feels they are often misunderstood, and she recognizes something of herself in that idea. When thinking about her future, Allie says she would like to become a marine biologist.

Outside and at play, Allie enjoys sports. She likes football, basketball, soccer, and cross-country. She has played flag football before and hopes to join a tackle football team for girls someday. On weekends, she enjoys playing sports outside and reading. When spending time with friends, she looks forward to going to the movies. She also enjoys swimming, riding dirt bikes, attending summer camp, baking, cutting hair, and trips to the library. At home, she helps with dishes, vacuuming, and dusting. Allie describes herself as flexible and a morning person, often waking up early and ready to start her day.

Allie is known for her humor and her ability to bring light to a room. She enjoys telling jokes and sharing stories, often with a lively and energetic tone. The people close to Allie describe her as caring, friendly, and fun. She is affectionate and appreciates hugs and one-on-one time with the adults who support her. She has a strong desire to care for others, and she continues to learn how to manage her emotions and communicate her needs. When she works at these skills, she shows meaningful progress.

Allie hopes for a forever family who will spend time together, whether going to the beach, visiting Disney World, or exploring Universal Studios. She would like two parents who are warm, patient, and open to listening and learning alongside her. A family with experience and who is trauma-informed would be well suited to supporting her needs. It would be helpful for Allie to be in a home where she is the only or youngest child.

Most importantly, Allie is looking for a family who will remain steady, accepting, and committed, someone who will celebrate her birthday, honor the holidays that mean a lot to her, and support her through who she is now and who she will grow to be.
