Meet Shane! Shane is a loving, affectionate boy with a big heart. He enjoys helping his caregivers and takes pride in doing special projects. Shane is naturally curious and loves talking about the things that interest him, especially when he gets to share his knowledge with others. He is kind, gentle and protective of younger children.
Shane has a creative side- he enjoys drawing and coloring- and he’s also active and energetic. He’s into sports, especially football, and loves fishing and spending time outdoors. Recently he visited a zoo and especially enjoyed the big cats and large African mammals.
School can be challenging at times due to learning differences, but he works hard to earn praise from his teachers. He is steadily developing skills to manage his own emotions and thrive in a classroom setting.
Shane would benefit greatly from a home with a strong, positive male role model. He was very close to his father, who sadly passed away, and he continues to long for that kind of supportive connection. His ideal forever family would be an active and engaged-encouraging him to play sports, go fishing, and participate in a variety of hands-on activities.
Although Shane has had limited opportunities in the past to engage in family-centered experiences, he is eager and excited to be part of a loving, committed home where he can grow, connect and feel a true sense of belonging.
