About Josiah

Josiah has an infectious sense of humor and loves to make those around him smile. Whether he’s cracking a joke or trying not to laugh himself, Josiah’s playful side is never far behind. From his passion for sports to his creative streak, which he channels into drawing, coloring, and painting, Josiah's love for life shines through. Josiah has a strong love for sports, particularly basketball, which keeps him active and engaged. It's also a perfect outdoor activity, which suits Josiah well as he loves to enjoy sunshine and fresh air. At home, he’s responsible and helpful, keeping his room tidy, making his bed, and taking care of his laundry. His eagerness to contribute shows how he really tries to do his best, both in his home life and at school. Josiah is proud of his academic progress, especially the improvements he’s made in his grades. During downtime, Josiah enjoys watching TV or taking a nap to recharge.

In the future, Josiah hopes to become a businessman. We think he already shows the business-like ability to make thoughtful, careful decisions because when asked what he would wish for if he had three wishes, he replied that he'd have to think about it. “Josiah describes himself as a good listener, polite, and funny,” says an adult close to him. “Josiah has ambitions of earning a college degree and owning his own business one day.” One of his greatest dreams is to visit Disneyland, where he hopes to see Spider-Man and ride all the exciting attractions. Josiah is well-mannered and has made leaps and bounds with managing his emotions in more positive ways. He will benefit from parents who, with patient guidance and understanding, can continue to help him make progress in this area.

Josiah would thrive in a home with an experienced parent or parents who can offer the support, supervision, and stability he needs. His parents will need to advocate for him at school and ensure he receives services to help him be his best. He would do well in a home with or without other children. He would especially love a family that includes pets, particularly cats. Those who know him best believe he would benefit from a home where he can culturally connect and feel understood. Church is an important part of Josiah’s life, and he would love a family who shares his enthusiasm for attending and making it a regular part of their routine. Equally important is a family that will support him in maintaining relationships he has and helping him reconnect with previous relationships when it's appropriate. Josiah’s ideal forever family is one that embraces his love for sports, creativity, and spending quality time together. Thoughtful, polite, and artistic, Josiah is eager to share his joyful personality and the success he’s worked hard to achieve with a family that will truly cherish him.
