About Robert
Robert is a very kind and loving 13-year-old boy. He is very easy going, and playful. Robert likes being outside and enjoys riding his bicycle. He likes swimming in pools, and he would thrive being able to have a home where he could laugh and be a kid. Robert listens and receives direction well.
Robert has minimal behaviors and loves his school and his teachers. Robert does have some developmental delays that are the result of the trauma and neglect he endured. Robert is not on track developmentally with his peers, but he is able to get along with children of various ages.
Robert is learning healthy boundaries, social skills and hygiene. He will need a lot of one-on-one guidance and supervision for his developmental needs. Robert is able to ask questions and verbalize his needs, however he will need someone to advocate for him and his needs, as he does have a tendency to forgo his own needs in favor of being accepted by others.
Robert would thrive in an environment with positive reinforcements and encouraging guidance. Robert’s favorite people are his older sisters and he would prefer to stay in contact with them.
Robert receives supportive services as well as working with mental health and educational providers to ensure that all his special needs are met. Robert has an Educational IEP and will require help with overall learning, speech, reading, writing, and phonics.
Robert does not have any substance issues and has had no legal involvement.
