About Stephen
Stephen is an outgoing and social 9-years-old African American child. He enjoys playing outside. He also enjoys playing games on his tablet or PlayStation. He aspires to become either a Police Officer or an FBI agent. He loves eating anything Jamaican, Macaroni, Hot Dogs, Popcorn, Spaghetti, and Grilled Cheese. He likes school. His favorite subject is Math. Stephen would benefit from a two (2) parent family with a strong, positive male role model. Stephen has been exposed to the use of physical punishment as consequence to behaviors and he needs to be in a home where a different form of discipline is used. Stephen would benefit from being the only child in a home until such time that he successfully makes progress in counseling. Stephen needs to maintain contact with his younger sisters, maintain a semblance of sibling bond.
On July 1, 2024, Florida enacted a new law (often referred to as the Permanency for Children law) that limits public access to images of children in the state’s foster care system, particularly those up for adoption. The state wants to be cautious as to who can see and potentially have access to youth’s info. Only approved, background-checked adoptive families can view photos.
