About Nathan
Do you hear those giggles and that hearty laughter? Then you know Nathan is nearby. Nathan gets along wonderfully with people. He does great in school, and his teachers and peers love to spend time with him! He particularly enjoys his art and music classes. Some of his artwork hangs on the walls of his bedroom.
On most days, if you check out the TV, “Caillou” is playing. Nathan loves that show! He also loves settling in for a movie night! Nathan loves to watch movies with a big bowl of popcorn in his lap! He could also be nibbling on some French fries! One of his friends says, “Fries are Nathan’s favorite food! He’s always asking for them!”
Nathan would jump in a car to go for a ride anytime. Nathan enjoys seeing what’s going on around him. Are there people walking around? Is the weather clear or threatening? Is traffic slowing everyone down? He’d love to go to an amusement park to drive a car around a track! He’d also enjoy spending time at a trampoline park, going shopping, or taking long walks in nice weather. You may have to stop for another favorite snack of Nathan’s, cheese and crackers!
Nathan uses a communication device to talk to others and express his wants and needs. People close to him have learned to understand him and are to help others who don’t know him as well! Nathan realizes not everyone understands his requests and needs immediately. He is extremely patient and will calmly wait for his needs to be understood. It’s just a matter of time before you, too, learn to understand him more quickly. That’s something to smile about!
