About Shamaria
Shamaria (Mari 7/2009) is an African American youth. She is an extremely creative and gifted artist! She loves to draw and design with her art and provides a lot of detail in her work. She is athletic and has recently enjoyed playing soccer on her High School Junior Varsity team. Mari thrives when she receives individual time and attention. She has expressed that she wants to be a part of a family, and that she has a strong desire to belong somewhere that she can be ‘seen for who she is’ and ‘heard’. She has expressed feeling like she doesn’t always have a voice in decisions about her life, and would like to experience true belonging. Mari would benefit from a family that is very active, patient, supportive, and highly structured. She would thrive in an environment where there a few other children, so that she can have the one on one personal attention, love and care that she longs for.
