Meet Delante…
Delante is a handsome young man with an infectious smile and high energy. He enjoys socializing with his peers at school, where he says he has a lot of friends. His favorite subject in school is math and his favorite teacher is Ms. Williams. When asked why his favorite teacher is Ms. Williams, he stated “she is really nice and doesn’t yell.” When Delante is at home, he likes to play Roblox, create Tic Toc videos, and watch his favorite television show, 1.2.3 Go! Delante expressed an interest in playing basketball one day and says it’s his favorite sport. When asked what he would like his adoptive family to be, he said “I want a nice family,” a family that “can cook real food like spaghetti, chicken and greens.”
Meet Jeremy…
Jeremy is a very curious young man, full of energy with a thirst for knowledge. Jeremy enjoys all subjects in school, but what he enjoys most is sports. Jeremy says his favorite sport is baseball and he would like to play for the White Sox one day. When Jeremy is not dreaming about baseball, he enjoys going to the trampoline park and riding the Ferris wheel at Navy Pier. When asked about his favorite food, he did not hesitate to say, “I can eat pizza every day!” Jeremy stated he “wants a family that likes to be active and enjoys scary movies like his favorite Michael Myers film.”
Meet Rashad…
Rashad, a mysterious young man who takes his time to get to know others. Once he is comfortable, he wants to tell you all about his friends at school, especially his best friend who is “nice” to him. Rashad enjoys playing outside on his scooter, playing with his brothers, and football. Rashad said he’d like a family that will get him a bike so he can ride outside with his friends. His favorite food is McDonald’s, fries are his favorite. One of his favorite snacks is Dunkin Doughnuts where he likes to order chocolate doughnuts with sprinkles.
Meet Raquan…
Raquan has the brightest eyes and the sweetest smile! Raquan enjoys Chucky Cheese and when he is there his favorite things to do are play in the bouncy house and arcade. His favorite meal, a McDonald’s burger, fries, and chocolate milk. He also enjoys playing Duck, Duck, Goose with his friends and chocolate ice cream.
The family for this sibling group of four would need to be capable of setting clear and reasonable expectations and boundaries. The family would need to have knowledge regarding educational advocacy and how to navigate their school district for services. The family would need to be high energy, active, patient and supportive.
