About Amberlyn
Amber (January, 2011) is an amazingly talented teenage, female with a big, beautiful smile. Amber loves school above all else! She gets a little down when school is not in session. Amber’s favorite subject is math, and she has hopes of one day becoming an anesthesiologist. Amber enjoys several types of sports, including softball and basketball, and she recently became involved in track and field. Amber is a very good musician, playing the saxophone in her school band. Amber has done well in recent foster placements and came close to being adopted. Amber wants desperately to secure her forever home and has remarked “I don’t want to remain in foster care”. Amber has a strong desire to care for younger children and can often be seen holding a smaller child to comfort them. Amber gets along well with other children and makes friends easily. Like many teenage girls, Amber enjoys talking on the phone with friends from school and can be very helpful regarding performing household tasks. Amber has four other siblings, two of whom have already been adopted, and would like very much to remain in contact with her siblings. Amber has worked hard to heal from her past trauma, and she has responded well to therapeutic interventions.
