About Benjamin
Benjamin is an energetic and intelligent 12 year-old boy who is looking for his forever family. Ben is quick-witted, funny, and loves to make others laugh with his jokes and witty banter. Ben loves going to school and learning new things. He excels in academics, especially reading. Ben enjoys telling his caregivers about what he is learning each day.
Ben enjoys spending time indoors and outdoors. He has a great imagination and uses his creativity and attention to detail to design and build Lego creations. He loves playing with Nerf guns with friends and caregivers. Like most pre-teens, he likes to watch TV and play games on a tablet or phone. Ben joined Boy Scouts this year and has enjoyed hiking and camping trips with his troop. He has also participated in baseball at school, swim lessons and Ninja class at the YMCA, and YMCA Day Camp during the summer. Ben has started learning to cook and bake and especially loves to bake brownies.
Ben longs for a forever family who can accept him where he is and help him continue to grow by providing stability, encouragement, and understanding. He thrives on structure, routine, and consistency. Ben is engaged in counseling and is understanding more about managing his behaviors and building relationships with others.
Ben does well with small pets and would love a family that would welcome his pet betta fish. Small dogs are okay, but he admits he is a bit afraid of larger dogs.
