About Lucas
There is no limit to the imagination of Lucas. He loves dragons, so he made himself a full dragon costume. He wants to build a tower, so he grabs his Legos and starts building. He likes to entertain, so he comes up with interesting stories. Toys that other kids don’t see potential in, Lucas recreates into something new to play with. When Lucas isn’t busy thinking up the next best way to play, he enjoys nature walks to learn about plants and animals. If he sees a bunny, he’ll be the most excited kid in the area because that's his favorite animal. In fact, if he could go anywhere he would choose Vietnam because he read a book that there is an abundance of bunnies there and he wants to bring some of them home. His other reasons are because he wants to see the architecture and eat the food. At home, Lucas likes to enjoy a little more casual dining with a pepperoni pizza from Pizza Hut. When it comes to some of his favorite after school activities, Lucas likes to play outside, play with toys, and watch movies and sports games. His favorite sports include basketball, football and baseball. Lucas’ favorite baseball team is the Detroit Tigers, and he hopes to attend a game in person someday with his future family. Some other things he’d like to do with his future family are to go to Disneyland because he’s never been and wants the trip to be special with his family, watch movies and eat dinner together, and take pictures of all the cool things they will do together.
An adult close to him says, “Lucas is a bundle of fun. He is sweet and caring. Lucas has so much love to give. He has such a bright personality.” This is certainly reflected in his enjoyment of giving hugs to those he cares about. Lucas’ personality traits are present in his future career plans as he wishes to be a social worker “to help kids like me” or a police officer “to be a hero.”
Lucas would do best in a two-parent household with a mom and dad or two moms. His parents will need to be experienced and trauma informed. Lucas should be the only child or the youngest child in the home. Lucas would prefer to live in an urban environment. He will need parents who will be patient, dedicated and strong advocates for services he may need.
