About the Siblings
Mikael: If you have an active lifestyle then you would get along famously with Mikael. If there’s an outdoor sport or activity to participate in, you can count on Mikael to be there. Specifically, Mikael enjoys playing basketball, riding bikes, and jumping on trampolines. Everyone has to run out of energy at some point though, right? While it’s rare for this high energy kid to run lower than the Energizer bunny, he does like to relax at times. When he does slow down, he loves to play video games and “hang out with the homies.” If you asked him what he’d like to do with his friends, he’d tell you “anything…or play basketball.” Mikael really enjoys his friendships and wants his future family to know that he “hates being separated from his homies.” If Mikael had three wishes, he’d ask for height, to train harder in basketball, and to have homies for life.
When it comes to some of Mikael’s favorite things, he has a hard time choosing, so here are all of his favorites. His favorite foods include noodles, steak and A1 sauce, and Mexican spaghetti. His favorite colors are light blue and pink, like cotton candy. His favorite animals are stingrays, dogs/puppies, kittens, foxes, red pandas and regular pandas. Sounds like a trip to the zoo is just what he needs! When it comes to his favorite subjects in school, Mikael enjoys gym and social studies. He wants to participate in a lot of sports after school but in his own words, “ I don’t like reading or nerdy stuff.” After school, you can find him chilling, playing basketball, hanging out with friends, or playing video games. According to an adult close to him, he “likes to be helpful” but he doesn’t like to clean dishes or “dirty stuff.” “Mikael is very kind and loving when he gets to know you. He is great with pets. He’s a great artist, a critical thinker and can be very empathetic.” Will you put the “home” in “homie” for Mikael?
Mikael would do best in a home with a mom and dad. His parents would need to be trauma informed and experienced. Mikael can adapt to most environments so, any type will do. A pet-friendly household would benefit this animal-loving youth. Mikael and his brother, Izaiah, will need a family that will adopt them together.
Izaiah: If you’re a fan of ATVs and motorcycles, then Izaiah is a fan of you! There are many things Izaiah likes to do and particularly in the outdoors but get him on an ATV or a motorcycle and he’s the happiest a teen could be. Other activities Izaiah likes to participate in include sports like basketball, baseball, football, soccer, and hockey. When it comes to hanging out with friends, Izaiah would always choose to get a game going in one of his many favorite sports. We hope none of his friends suggest chilling with some pizza and a movie -- that's too low key for this active guy! When he does need to slow things down, however, he likes to play Uno, Sorry or Hide and Seek. Izaiah loves buffalo wings, Mexican food, alfredo, and McDonald’s so if you want to plan dinner, look no further than these. His favorite color is red, and his favorite animals are dogs, lions, and jaguars. Safe to say if you have any dogs in your home, Izaiah will be happy.
According to an adult close to him, “Izaiah can be very kind, likes to help around the house and can be very independently responsible.” In fact, Izaiah likes to do the dishes and sweep and mop the floors. His favorite subject in school is history but he says he “kind of likes English, too.” His favorite holidays to celebrate are Christmas, Easter and Thanksgiving because he likes to open presents, go hunting, and hang out and eat with family. If Izaiah could visit one place on Earth, he’d pick Hawaii because he wants to see the view, the water, and what the hype is all about. The travel bug certainly has bitten Izaiah because that’s all he wants to do with his forever family. Well, that and he wants to do “cool stuff” too. You’ll have to ask him what he thinks “cool stuff” means. Izaiah has hopes to become successful in adulthood whether it be as a college coach or to have a master’s degree in something.
