About Javaya
For Javaya, few things beat spending time with family. It’s something Javaya dreams of doing with an adoptive family, especially during Christmastime and other special occasions. Friends are equally important to Javaya, who especially loves spending time with her friends on the weekends. Together, they like shopping, going out to eat, playing video games and listening to music. Javaya also loves doing arts and crafts and making bracelets. On her list of favorite things, Javaya includes baked ziti, seafood and the color blue, and she says math is her favorite subject in school. She enjoys dancing, journaling and watching reality TV as well as comedy shows. Javaya likes having a laugh and sharing her sense of humor by joking around with others. “Javaya has good energy and is outgoing,” says one of her close adults. “Javaya describes herself as happy, energetic, funny and crazy.” This fun-loving girl takes a serious approach to her future. Although Javaya didn’t share her precise plans for a chosen profession, she does participate in a career development program. And she hopes her future includes a forever family. In addition to celebrating holidays with them, Javaya says she wants to enjoy simple pleasures with them such as shopping and going out to eat.
“Javaya is bright, happy, outgoing and social,” says one of her close adults. “She enjoys spending time with her loved ones. Javaya has a huge heart, and she is strong and resilient. She is open and honest about how she is feeling and what she thinks. Javaya is smart and does generally well in school.”
“Javaya would benefit from caregivers who want to be actively involved in her life,” says one of her close adults. Her new parent or parents should be experienced and trauma informed, and they must be strong advocates for any support services Javaya needs to excel. Her new family should be open to letting Javaya maintain contact with her younger brother. Javaya loves animals and prefers a family who has pets.
