About Elizabeth
Once you meet Ellie, as Elizabeth prefers, you’ll learn about her special talents and interests. She’s a gifted young lady who takes pride in having her own craft corner, and one of her biggest wishes is for an infinite amount of yarn for that crafting corner. “Ellie is very artistic,” says one of her close adults. “She loves arts and crafts such as crocheting and doing diamond dot art. She also loves making jewelry.” When she gets older, Ellie says she wants “to pursue my craft career.” Ellie enjoys practicing her artistic skills after school and on weekends, and she likes cooking and reading. Ellie also is an active young lady. “She likes to be outdoors in the summer playing sports and working in the garden,” says one of her close adults. “She is adventurous and loves to try new things.” Ellie’s personality is as wonderful as her talents, interests and creativity, and when she gets to know you, prepare for a warm welcome. “Ellie is a hugger,” says one of her close adults. “She loves to greet people that she knows with a smile and a big warm hug.” She’d certainly beam with a big smile on her birthday, which, along with Christmas, is one of her favorite special occasions. Ellie’s other favorite things include snakes for animals, tuna noodle salad for food and red and pink for colors. Another one of her biggest wishes is to go to Australia so she can see the wildlife there. Ellie also wishes for a family, and true to her adventurous spirit, she hopes they’ll take in the coasters and the other thrill rides at an amusement park together.
“Elizabeth is very friendly, outgoing and creative,” says one of her close adults. “She likes to always be doing activities to keep herself occupied. Ellie is very friendly towards people of all ages; she is especially great with children and animals. She loves to help and teach young children new things.”
“It is recommended that Ellie be placed in a one- or two-parent home with or without other children and pets,” says a close adult. Her new parent or parents should be experienced and trauma informed. Her new family needs to be patient as Ellie transitions into the home, and they must make sure she receives any needed services. Her family must provide the support and attention that helps Ellie function at her best.
