About Victory
Victory is a joyful, adorable, and sweet little boy. Those who know him best describe him as gentle and loving and say that he almost always has a big smile on this face. When he gets excited, Victory will clap and jump up and down. His joy is contagious! Victory loves trains and playing with toys that have wheels. He can engage in imaginative play for lengthy periods of time. He also enjoys using his tablet. Victory is fascinated by bright lights and reflections and creatively uses items to reflect and observe light.
Victory has made tremendous progress in his ability to communicate and is skilled in using his IPad to show pictures and words. He does best with a structured routine and responds well to trusted adults who guide him in expressing his feelings. At school, he is described as a favorite of all the staff and teachers who know him. He follows spoken directions well and is very cooperative. Victory’s most recent progress report states that he has been showing significant improvement in all areas: English language arts, math, and activities of daily living. He participates in class and enjoys earning snacks, outside time, walks, and internet rewards between his academic instructions. His receptive language is excellent. His teacher stated that Victory is a joy to have in class, he enjoys learning, works well independently, and usually follows instructions.
The ideal family for Victory would be one who can provide him with nurturing and who understands that he will need lifelong support. He would do well with siblings or without, in a two parent or single parent household. Victory's biological mother is presently his only visitor. She is a loving and an important part of Victory's life. She cannot meet his needs, but it is important that she remains in his life and an adoptive parent would have to be open to making this happen.
