About the Siblings
James Jr. is a motivated young man that looks forward to what his future can hold. He has overcome many obstacles throughout his young life and expresses gratitude for where he is and what he has. He enjoys cooking and is learning life skills he can utilize to ensure he be independent but also provide for others. James likes sports and is a fantastic artist.
Jayda is a smart young lady and a survivor of her past trauma. She enjoys art of any kind and recently started gardening. She is currently involved in Pure Barre and youth group at a local church. Like many young teens, her phone is important to her and is able to adjust to the many different rules and guidelines for social media that are presented to her.
A family willing to provide this sibling group with permanency should also be open to maintaining their relationship with their older sister who is 19 years old. She has been a strong support to these kids as she also dealt with similar trauma growing up with their mother. Both James Jr. and Jayda enjoy each other's company but also enjoy their time alone. When the time is right, these siblings would benefit from a strong 2 parent home that is able to continue involvement in services needed to ensure their past trauma is being addressed as well as providing them with the appropriate skills to set them up for success in the future.
