About Tyrell
For Ty, comfort comes from a furry friend. “He loves his stuffed otter,” explains one of his close adults. Together, Ty and his plush pal likely take plenty of imaginative dips in the lake. Ty loves swimming as well as imaginative play. “He has a great imagination and is very expressive in his imaginative play,” says a close adult. Ty probably employs that active imagination to rescue victims from the bad guys because he likes Spider-Man and other superheroes. He’s an active youngster who loves playing outside. “Ty enjoys going to the playground and park and playing with the kids he meets,” a close adult says. He likes climbing trees, going to trampoline parks and riding bikes and hover boards. Ty would especially enjoy an active family who’d take him to Chuck E. Cheese.
“Ty is an amazing kid!” says one of his close adults. “He is funny, affectionate and so smart! He does a great job advocating for what he needs. He has the best smile, an infectious laugh and the biggest heart! Ty is very bright and on task academically. He likes receiving information about things he is interested in and he retains the information very well.”
His parents should be patient, experienced, understanding and trauma informed. Ty’s new parents must be able to provide the guidance and attention he requires, and they must make sure he receives any needed services. His family must be open to letting Ty maintain contact with his sister.
