About Bruce
Meet Bruce, the almighty master and commander. There’s no video game he can’t beat, no place he can’t visit and no mastermind he can’t outwit, especially if his wishes come true. Bruce is so good at video games that he wants to become a professional gamer or a creator of new games. He wishes for some other almighty powers such as the ability to fly. If he could fly, Bruce would soar to his dream destination, which is Mexico so he can learn to speak Spanish. He’d visit monkeys in their trees because they’re his favorite animals. Then Bruce would conjure up his other wish, which is to acquire the ability to control minds. In his own way, Bruce already has superpowers that go along with being a young man. He loves running as well as playing soccer and basketball, and he likes celebrating Halloween – his favorite holiday – by “dressing up and scaring people.” His superpowers include his creativity. “Bruce is great at art,” says one of his close adults. He likes drawing but says math is his favorite subject in school. Some of his other favorite things are pizza for food, blue for color and gaming system for toy. He also enjoys spending time with friends and going to the park. As you can tell, Bruce loves to have fun, and he hopes for a forever family who enjoys doing the same.
According to one of his close adults, “Bruce is a fun-loving child who likes to joke around and play. He listens to directions and is fun to be around. He likes helping around the house and loves family game night. If you take the time, he will be very open and honest.”
Bruce would do well with a parent or parents who are patient, understanding, experienced and trauma informed. His new parent or parents must be able to give him the structure and attention he requires. His new family needs to make sure Bruce receives any services that will help him function at his best. Bruce can be placed in a home with pets and other children. Finally, his family must be open to letting Bruce maintain his sibling relationships.
