About Oliyah
Oliyah has a certain affinity for Chester Cheetah, or at least for one of the flavors that the Cheetos mascot promotes. “Oliyah enjoys hot Cheetos so much, she stated if she won a million dollars, she would buy all the hot Cheetos in the world,” says one of her close adults. One of Oliyah’s biggest wishes is to have a lifetime supply of Cheetos as well as Takis. If there’s anything Oliyah likes as much as munching spicy snacks, it’s spending time outside. She likes soccer, rollerblading, riding bikes, going to the park and going to the zoo. In the winter, Oliyah enjoys sledding. She also likes indoor activities such as reading, watching TV, playing games – especially Monopoly – coloring, drawing and making jewelry. Oliyah likes shopping and participating in church activities and events. “Oliyah also expressed interest in attending church more often, attending summer camps and participating in Girl Scouts,” says one of her close adults. On her list of favorite things, Oliyah includes Italian subs and pizza with pepperoni and sausage for food. Her favorite colors are purple and black, and her favorite animals are – sorry, Chester – white tigers and llamas. She counts Halloween as one of her favorite holidays because she enjoys dressing in costume and trick or treating. Oliyah favors Christmas, too. “On Christmas, I like to be with family, give gifts and receive gifts,” she says. Oliyah says her dream destination is Tennessee because she wants to see the crystal caves, and her current career choice is being a cosmetologist. She also includes owning a bunch of Squishmallows and having a nice family on her wish list. In addition to being nice, Oliyah wishes her new forever family is loving, caring and understanding.
“Oliyah is a very sweet, smart, polite and helpful young girl who thrives on positive interaction and affection,” says one of her close adults. “Oliyah stated the most important things she wants others to know about her are that she is caring, giving, thoughtful and kind. She is very loving and well-mannered, and she thrives in family settings.”
Her new parents must be fierce advocates for the services that will help Oliyah function at her best. “The family who takes placement of Oliyah should be affectionate and patient,” says one of Oliyah’s close adults, who adds, “Pets would be a happy bonus.”
