About Ashley
For Ashley’s favorite food, look for the moose tracks, the blue moon or the rocky road. Then savor all the flavors just like Ashely does – with one exception. “She enjoys ice cream of all flavors except mint chocolate chip,” says one of Ashley’s close adults. To turn the frozen concoction into a combo, Ashley might even place an order of French fries, which is another one of her favorite foods. Once she’s finished eating, she can turn her attention to her favorite activities. “Ashley enjoys staying physically active, whether it is taking a walk through the woods or participating in sports like volleyball,” says one of her close adults. In addition to volleyball, Ashley likes tennis, but her favorite outdoors activity involves simply exploring nature. When Ashley is not busy outdoors, she enjoys reading, coloring and playing piano. “Ashley can often be found with a new library book in her hand,” says a close adult. “Ashley is adventurous and wants to explore the East Coast, particularly Georgia, where she one day hopes to move.” True to her adventurous nature, Ashley hopes for a forever family who enjoys traveling and going to amusement parks.
According to one of the adults who cares about her most, “Ashley is an outgoing child who enjoys making those around her laugh. Ashley is shy at first, but when she comes out of her shell she can be described as charismatic and humorous.”
Ashley would do best in a one-parent or two-parent household in which she is the only or significantly youngest child. Ashley thrives with one-on-one attention. Her new parent or parents should be experienced and trauma informed. Her forever family must make sure Ashley receives any support services that will help her be at her best. “Ashley would do well with animals in the home,” adds one of her close adults.
