Makayla, 17 years old
My favorite things: I love singing and dancing, especially to pop, KPop, and rap music. Some of my favorite musicians are Ashnikko, Everglow, Jojo Siwa, and Kane Brown. I also enjoy watching The Descendants on television. I like to go outside, go for walks, camp, and I like to play sports for fun such as soccer and basketball. My favorite color is black and my favorite animal is the hermit crab.
Things I do not like: I do not like the dark, sirens, loud noises, angry people, smoke, alcohol, fish, angry animals, being ignored, younger kids, and men.
Favorite food: Macaroni and cheese.
What I want in a family: I want a family who can spend time with me and help me feel safe from the things I do not like. I would like to live with a family who are patient, kind, and do not yell.
What I want families to know about me: I am an active person. I like to be involved and included.
What we want families to know about Makayla: Makayla is a friendly and likeable person. They are very social and will seek attention. Makayla is a strong advocate for themselves and will tell you what they want or need. They are clear about what they like and don’t like. They would do well living in a home with a family who are not quick to anger and who communicate clearly and calmly.
