About Charlise
If Charlise became Santa Claus’ adviser, things might just change for the better. First of all, the Jolly Old Elf would be delivering presents in a flying car that Charlise would summon via a big wish. No more dependence on the levitating legs of reindeer or Rudolph’s radiant nose. And instead of the huge focus on presents – which are still important to Charlise – the big attention would go toward the holiday ham. And she’d call on her boss to deliver an Easy Bake Oven to make cooking the Christmas dinner as smooth as an even layer of fresh fallen snow. Charlise might even pitch in to cook the holiday meal because she loves cooking fried chicken and fried shrimp on weekends. This “yum”ster's favorite meals include spaghetti, shrimp and imitation crab along with anything Italian. As much as she likes nibbling on her favorite foods, Charlise prefers petting pooches who don’t chomp, nip or bite, and she especially favors a Goldendoodle, which is her favorite animal. She loves playing with Barbie and baby dolls, and she enjoys playing Slapjack. Charlise has taken an interest in looking her best and wants to learn about makeup and hairstyles. She enjoys shopping and dining out. Charlise’s favorite subjects in school are math, English and social studies. In addition to Christmas, her other favorite holidays are Thanksgiving and Fourth for July because she gets a charge out of the fireworks. One of the things that would make Christmas even better would be a forever family for Charlise. Her new family would get a girl who wants to eat meals together as well as munch on popcorn while watching movies. Not even Old Saint Nick can deliver anything more precious than that.
“Charlise forms strong bonds with the people who are important to her and enjoys spending time with those she loves,” says one of her close adults. “She is very charismatic, socially outgoing, warm, curious and helpful. She loves to talk and be actively involved in daily routines. Charlise enjoys school and does well.”
A single female parent, two female parents or a mom and dad would be a good fit for Charlise. Charlise would do well as an only child, but all families will be considered. Her new parent or parents need to be experienced and trauma informed. Charlise’s new family must make sure she receives any services that will benefit her. The family also needs to be open to letting Charlise maintain the relationships that are important to her.
