About Monica
Monica, who prefers to go by the name Renee, enjoys spending time in the freedom of the outdoors. “Renee likes to stay busy, especially in the yard,” adds one of her close adults. “She loves to plant flowers and complete landscaping activities.” Renee enjoys running track, riding bikes, going roller skating and learning about new sports. Where she current resides, Renee likes walking the family dog and helping around the house. She also likes singing, especially rapping and would like to do it as a profession. Perhaps finding inspiration for her singing is why Renee wants to visit Hollywood, although she says she wants to go to Tinsel Town simply because “I’ve never been there.” If one of her dreams comes true, Renee will follow the letter of the law on her path to success. “Renee enjoys planning for her future,” says one of her close adults. “She wants to have a career in the criminal justice field with a side position in cosmetology.” On her list of favorite things, Renee includes pizza, the color pink and dogs. Her favorite after-school activity is sleeping, and her favorite holidays are Halloween and Christmas, which she enjoys celebrating by being with family. Renee adds that she looks forward to being together and spending quality time with her new family.
“Renee is very outgoing, talkative, funny and personable,” says a close adult. “Her strengths include having a good work ethic as well as ambition. She is empathetic and social. Renee loves to talk about the weather, school, animals, her goals and everything else under the sky! For Renee, conversations are limitless.”
A forever family must be willing to maintain frequent contact between Renee and her sister, Michelle. Renee would do best with one or two patient, experienced and trauma-informed parent(s). Her new forever family must make sure Renee receives any needed support services. Lastly, Renee would love a family who has a dog.
