About Christina
When it’s time for comfort, Christina turns to friends. Spending time with friends is her favorite weekend and after-school activity. When spending time with friends, Christina enjoys going shopping and being active. Christina not only appreciates friends but also family and others close to her. “Christina has a very big heart and goes above and beyond for her family, friends and others,” says one of her close adults. Celebrating holidays with family and friends is one of Christina’s favorite activities. She especially enjoys Easter and Halloween. Christina’s favorite subject in school is social studies, her favorite food is spaghetti, and her favorite animal is the koala. If she could travel anywhere, Christina would go to France. “I think it’s really pretty,” she says. When she’s asked the most important thing she wants others to know about her, Christina says, “I like to joke a lot.” Having a good sense of humor should serve her well as Christina pursues her dreams of working with foster kids, enjoying more independence and becoming successful by living safely, working in a good job, being a good person and functioning well as an adult. Having a good sense of humor will help when joining a future forever family. Christina says she wants to “hang out, bond and talk about real-life stuff” with her new family.
“Christina is shy at first, but when she gets to know you, she opens up and is very outgoing,” says a close adult. “Christina is very protective of people who are close to her and always tries to ensure that their needs are being met. Sometimes she makes that a priority over her own needs.”
Christina needs a forever family who can provide guidance, consistency, structure and one-on-one attention. She could thrive in a home with a single mom or two parents who are experienced and trauma informed. She would do best as the youngest or only child in her new family. Her new family needs to be fierce advocates for any needed support services. Her new parent or parents must be open and accepting of Christina.
