About Zahira
Even though her favorite critters stick together, Zahira isn’t necessarily one who runs with the pack. Sure, she loves family and friends, but she busts out of the mundane. Zahira is a skater, an anime lover, a video game player and a dreamer who wants to become a professional gamer when she gets older. Although she doesn’t want to become a chef, Zahira appreciates good food and enjoys going out to eat. Zahira’s favorite foods are “o” so good as in tacos and nachos. She loves pizza, too, which is appropriate because Italy is her dream destination. “I have Italian in me,” Zahira explains. She also has some mathematician in her because math is her favorite subject in school. As stated earlier, her favorite animals exhibit the qualities of connectedness. Zahira likes wolves and dogs “because they stick with the pack” as well as cheetahs, also known for being family focused. She loves celebrating holidays “because I like to be with family and friends.” She hopes for a family who enjoys going to the mall and dining out together.
“Zahira is a kind and smart girl who’s an animal lover and who loves to laugh,” says one of her close adults. “She is friendly, calm and funny. She is full of love and kindness. She is a very happy person who likes to get to know people.”
According to one of her adult advocates, Zahira would do well with a forever family who has “lots of love to give.” She would do best with a single female parent, two female parents or a mom and dad. Her new parent or parents should be experienced and trauma informed. In addition, her new parents should be open-minded and let Zahira express herself creatively and freely. Zahira can be placed in a home with or without other children or pets. In fact, one of Zahira's close adults says she is very caring to children younger than her; "she takes them under her wing and protects them." She likes cats as well as dogs and would love a home with animals. Her new parent or parents must advocate for whatever Zahira needs to thrive.
