About Lucas
Lucas loves pizza but hates mustard! He is an engaged teen who likes staying busy and working towards a goal. His favorite extracurriculars are basketball, football, track, and JROTC. Lucas is serious about his schoolwork and likes math and science the most. His leadership shows when he steps up to help his peers or offers to assist his teachers. Lucas also likes volunteering for extra credit work when he can. He currently has his sights set on college to study criminal justice. If Lucas can’t get a scholarship, he plans to join the military and attend college afterward. Lucas is known for being polite and respectful. He prefers to relax by playing PS5 or Xbox but enjoys a good puzzle or building with LEGOs. He is a dog lover, and blue is his all-time favorite color. Lucas dreams of eventually becoming a highway patrolman. Although he prefers to have brothers, he ultimately wants to be “a part of a family where he feels safe and loved.”

He would thrive in a family with an opposite-sex couple or a single dad, where he is the youngest or only child. Lucas desires a home “with a strong male role model that will take the time to do things with him.” A Christian home in an urban area is preferred; however, his caseworker will consider all family types.
