About Jubilee
Jubilee has an apt name because she has so much to celebrate, and she has so much fun doing it. Changing her appearance is one of Jubilee’s favorite things to do. “I love to do makeup and fashion,” she says. Adds one of Jubilee’s close adults, “Jubilee loves doing her hair and makeup.” Her self-expression extends to other favorite activities such as gymnastics, singing, and dancing. She enjoys playing card games such as Rummy or Speed, and she likes being around animals, especially cats, her favorite critters. Jubilee’s favorite food is sushi, and her favorite color is pink. Her favorite subject in school is Language Arts. On the weekends when it’s warm, Jubilee likes swimming, and after school, she enjoys watching television and hanging out with her friends. If she could travel anywhere, she’d go to Japan because “It’s so pretty, I just imagine a dragon flying around. I want to eat the food.” Among her biggest wishes is a guitar, for her and her siblings to stay in contact and most of all, a family. When she’s asked what she wants to do with a forever family, Jubilee sticks to her idea of having fun. “I hope we go on vacation together,” says Jubilee. “I would like to be ‘normal’ and eat dinner as a family.” Is your family ready to accept someone as joyous as Jubilee?
“Jubilee is very bubbly and outgoing and loves to spend one-on-one time with adults in her life,” says one of her close adults. “She’s outgoing, kindhearted, helpful and sweet. Jubilee likes to be a happy person who frequently wears a smile on her face. She is full of confidence and will light up any room she walks into.”
Jubilee would do best with an experienced parent or parents who are trauma informed. Her new forever family must be fierce advocates for the services she needs. Jubilee would do best as the only or oldest child in the home. Her new family also should be open to letting Jubilee maintain her sibling relationships. She needs a family who is patient and understanding and who will love her no matter what. Finally, Jubilee loves cats, dogs, and fish, and hopes for a family who has pets.
