About Hana
Hana is a creative and expressive teenager with a wide range of interests. She enjoys making bracelets, crafting, cooking, and finding new ways to show her artistic side. Music is another big part of her life—she loves listening to it, dancing, and even writing her own raps. She has fun experimenting with makeup, doing her nails, and styling her dolls, which shows her eye for detail and style. Hana has also taken part in hip-hop dance and dreams about exploring gymnastics again one day. When Hana spends time with friends, she enjoys going to the mall or swimming at the pool. On weekends, she likes to rest and recharge, and she takes pride in helping with extra chores around the house. Her favorite subject in school is ELA, where she gets to practice reading and writing, which connect well with her love of rap and storytelling. She describes herself as confident, artistic, and proud of who she is.
Some of Hana’s favorite things include hamburgers and French fries, the color purple, and cheetahs. She enjoys celebrating holidays such as Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, Juneteenth, and of course her birthday, often by going places or gathering for cookouts. She hopes to travel to Dubai one day, especially to see the famous water hotel where you can view fish right from your room. Looking ahead, Hana dreams about becoming a real estate agent when she grows up. People who know Hana describe her as confident, talkative, and charismatic once she feels comfortable. She can also be thoughtful and caring, often making crafts or bracelets for her peers. “Hana has a bright personality and is very ARTISTIC!” says an adult close to her. “Hana can be a caring teenager, she loves to express herself whether it be through art, clothes, or verbalization.” At times, she can be reserved when meeting new people, but as she builds trust, her cheerful and outgoing side shines through.
Hana says the most important thing she wants people to know about her is that she is creative and proud of herself. She hopes for a forever family who will spend quality time together, go places, and support her as she grows. Hana would do well with a single mom, but she would do best with a mom and dad or two moms who are experienced and trauma informed. Hana would do best in a family that has patience, experience, and a strong understanding of how to support children through challenges and change. She would thrive as the only or oldest child in the home, ideally with a family who values her cultural identity and helps her stay connected to her siblings. Because she loves animals, she hopes for a home with dogs—or a family open to welcoming one. Above all, Hana wants a family who will accept her fully, encourage her creativity, and give her the sense of belonging she deeply hopes for.
