About Devin
It’s easy to describe Devin as a straight-laced, straight-talking and straight-forward young man. You could even add debonair to Devin’s descriptors. He loves basketball, and if he slam-dunked on an opponent, Devin would likely give him a tilt of the head, an infectious smile and a shrug of the shoulders with his palms up. Devin wants to play basketball for a living as an adult, but he also enjoys playing football. “He loves to play sports with his friends at his local recreation center,” says one of Devin’s close adults. In fact, Devin lists “just hanging out and chilling” with friends as one of his favorite things to do. Spending time outdoors is another one of Devin’s favorite activities, and he especially enjoys going to the park on weekends. His list of favorite things includes pizza for food, blue for color, dogs for animal and math for subject in school. When it’s time for dismissal, Devin loves getting home so he can watch TV. If you ask him the most important thing others should know about him, Devin says “that I am a good person.” Devin says he isn’t sure what he desires in a future forever family, but he wants them to know that he is indeed a great guy.
“Devin is a wonderful young boy who is very respectful and easy to talk to,” says one of the adults close to him. “Devin is helpful when needed and is willing to go above and beyond for others. He is protective of the people he loves and is extremely considerate of others. Devin is a very quiet and laidback person. He can be shy at first, but he opens up the more you engage with him.”
A mom and dad or two male parents would be a good fit for Devin. A forever family must make sure Devin gets the services he needs to thrive. His new parent or parents should be experienced, patient, strong, supportive and understanding. Devin can be placed in a family with or without other children, and he’d do well in a home that has a dog.
