About Na'Jaiya
When asked what she likes, Na'Jaiya answers with one word and it's in all capital letters: SPORTS! This active girl likes volleyball, and is hoping to participate on both swimming and softball teams this year. It's no surprise that this athlete also enjoys being active during her free time; you can often find her going for walks or riding her bike. Not only is Na’Jaiya described as an athletic girl who loves sports but also one who’s creative and enjoys art and photography. In fact, she dreams of becoming a professional photographer one day. Perhaps she'll be able to combine her two interests and become a sports photographer. We can imagine her on the sidelines catching all the action with her camera! Or maybe she'll be a travel photographer because she dreams of exploring new places such as Europe, China, and Japan. She hopes her forever family will share some of her interests and participate in sports, travel, and art with her. She'd also be happy to go for family walks or bike rides or enjoy some board games. On her list of favorite things, Na’Jaiya has a very specific favorite food: hamburger, corn, green beans, and cream cheese in a taco shell but she is also open to a regular old hamburger, too. Na'Jaiya wants potential families to know that she is sensitive and hopes to have her own room so she has some privacy.
“Na’Jaiya is an outgoing, calm and friendly child,” says one of her close adults. “She is determined and pretty consistent. She is a good listener and also has a good personality.” Na'Jaiya does well in school and reports that her favorite subjects are ELA and science. She would benefit from parents who take an active role in her education, make sure she is getting any needed assistance, and help her reach her full potential.
Na’Jaiya needs a forever family with parents who are experienced and trauma informed. She has expressed a preference for a mom and a dad, but is open to all sorts of families. She would prefer to have a family that mirrors her racial identity. Her family must make sure Na’Jaiya receives the services that will help her flourish and be able to help her manage her medical needs. She can be placed in a home with or without other children, though she would love to be the youngest child. Na’Jaiya loves animals and prefers a family who has pets or is open to letting her get a pet.
