About Cornell
If you give Cornell a few minutes, he’ll likely surprise you—not just with his creativity, his quick wit, or the way he makes you laugh—but with the heart and vision he carries for his future. “I feel good today,” he said with a bright smile during our conversation. “It’s Friday—Fun Day—and we get to play on the computers.” That kind of simple joy, paired with thoughtful insight, is what makes Cornell truly stand out.
Cornell is imaginative in the best way. He loves paper craft and proudly shared, “I know how to make origami,” explaining how it’s a cool skill for designing. In fact, he often makes his own military gear out of paper and tape including helmets, armor, and other intricate designs. “Origami is a great skill to have,” he added, and it’s clear his hands and mind are always building, crafting, and dreaming. One of those dreams? Joining the Army. “Infantry or Rifleman Gunsmith,” he explained with conviction.
When asked where he’d go if he could wake up anywhere in the world, his answer was quick: “Hawaii, because I heard they have a military base there. It’s really warm there.” His fascination with structure, strategy, and service shines through in the games he plays, especially military roleplay, and even in the way he imagines his future.
Cornell is more than just creative, he’s caring. When asked who his heroes were he replied with the names of his current caregivers “because they take care of me.” And that same care he sees in others, he gives in return. “I’m very nice. I’m creative. I like giving hugs. I’m affectionate,” he said, adding that he gives a lot of nicknames and likes to make people laugh. He brings that warmth to his ideal vision of family too: “A nice family. Dogs would be good. I had a husky before; I like how they kind of look like a wolf. I like turtles too.”
In his perfect world, Cornell would spend time with his family playing games, going out to eat— “maybe to Golden Corral”—and enjoying seafood and sushi (but definitely not dressing: “the texture, the taste, and the smell are just bad,” he said with a shake of his head). He also loves ice cream, Legos, and anything chicken, especially a spicy chicken sandwich with waffle fries and a vanilla milkshake from Chick-Fil-A.
There’s a natural confidence in the way Cornell moves through life. “I used to race. I can run really, really fast. I have long legs,” he said proudly. And while he enjoys video games and computers, it’s clear that he values connection just as much. Whether he’s relaxing on a comfy couch, spending time with friends, or imagining future moments with a forever family, Cornell brings a mix of fun, affection, and thoughtfulness to every space he enters.
Most of all, he wants people to know this: “Teens are nice,” he said. And he’s absolutely right, especially teens like Cornell.
Cornell would do well in a home with one or two parents who are patient and experienced. He would thrive as the only or youngest child in the home. Cornell loves animals, especially huskies, and would love a home with pets. A family who can provide structure and one-on-one attention to Cornell will gain an incredible young man with a bright future ahead of him. If your family is looking for a young man with a warm heart, achievable goals for his future, and creativity to boot, then look no further than Cornell.
