About Aiden
He might not be Maverick of “Top Gun” fame, but you can bet Aiden will have a cool nickname if his dream of becoming a military pilot comes true. Perhaps his name will be Lynx since he likes cats. Or Gamer because Aiden loves playing action video games. Maybe Aiden’s nickname will be Trekker because he loves spending time outdoors and enjoys going places where he can snowboard and skateboard. Aiden’s many possible nicknames underscore his desire for fun. He enjoys playing soccer and likes watching funny videos. Aiden takes the most pride in his ability to do backflips. His favorite holiday is New Year’s, and while adults might be slurping champagne, Aiden likes sipping sparkling juice. Since he loves spending time outdoors, Aiden’s dream destination is Florida or “anywhere in the south where it is warm,” he says. If he had three wishes, Aiden would want a car, a dirt bike and a truck. Aiden says the most important thing he wants others to know about him is that “family is number one,” and it is very important for him to stay connected with his siblings. Once he finds his new forever family, Aiden hopes they’ll go snowboarding and go traveling to warm places, but most importantly, spend time together in the great outdoors.
“Aiden is a friendly and talkative child,” says one of his close adults. “He can always find things to talk about with just about anyone. He is a good advocate for himself, and is not afraid to express his thoughts and feelings.”
He is open to all parental arrangements, but his new parent or parents should be experienced, and trauma informed. Aiden’s new forever family needs to make sure he receives any services that will benefit him. Aiden can be placed in a home with or without children or pets. Aiden would do best with a family who enjoys outdoor activities as much as he does. Finally, his family must be open to letting Aiden maintain his sibling relationships.
