About Takia
Takia is one in a million and someone that everyone loves to be around! Her GAL shared “Takia is a playful, bright, and humorous child. She has a megawatt smile and a full hearted laugh. She enjoys singing in church and loves to help younger children at her school and church. Takia loves dancing, hanging with friends, getting her hair and nails done or watching a favorite show on TV. Takia's strengths are her ability to discuss her emotions, understand her behavior, make friendships, and speak what is on her mind. Takia needs help trying new things, establishing boundaries, and building true self confidence and love. My hopes for Takia are that she finds a family that can support her as she discovers her own self worth and academic potential. That she is nurtured and respected for her unique gifts within a family that can have loving but firm boundaries.” Takia would like an active family who loves to travel and experience new things. This brilliant young lady is looking forward to finding her forever family.
Takia would do well in a two-parent home or single parent home that can provide her with structure, love and consistency. Her family should understand that she has been letdown many times in her life and display patience as she transitions into her new home. Takia’s forever family will provide her with opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities of her choosing. Takia needs a family who is open to maintaining connections that are in her best interest. A family who is trauma informed or willing to go through trauma informed training will help Takia thrive in their home.
