About Blake
Calling all families with a pet pachyderm! We’re not sure if he’s serious about wanting a family who has an elephant, but we’re putting the call out on Blake’s behalf just the same. And even if you don’t have an elephant grazing in the yard, we’re certain this loving young man will still love his new family. Especially if they ‘ll let Blake dine on cheese pizza and mac ’n cheese. Or if they like visiting the zoo and being outdoors. “Blake really enjoys being outside and riding a scooter,” says one of his close adults. Blake’s other favorite activities include playing with cars, completing puzzles, watching TV, playing board and video games and spending time with friends. He also likes playing with superhero action figures. Blake isn’t certain what he wants to do for a living when he gets older, but he believes the playground needs to be part of it. On his list of likes, Blake includes red, blue, yellow and purple for color and dragon, cat, dog, bird and zebra for animal. He adds that playing games is his favorite after-school activity and recess is his favorite subject in school. In addition to saying he wants a family with an elephant, Blake adds that he hopes for one who protects his safety.
According to one of his close adults, “Blake is a very resilient child with much eagerness and excitement. He has an amazing spirit, and his happiness can be contagious. He has a lot of potential to grow and flourish in an appropriate, supportive home environment. Blake is always willing to play and never has a negative attitude.”
Blake needs a parent or parents who can give him the one-on-one support and attention he thrives on. He would do best in a structured home environment and should be the youngest child in the home. Blake’s new forever family must make sure he receives any support services he needs to function at his best. His new parent or parents should be experienced and trauma informed. He would do best in a family who is active, and because he loves animals, Blake prefers a family who has pets.
