About Carson
Carson would probably like to live in the cinematic universe of Jurassic Park because one of his wishes is for all the dinosaurs to come back to life. In addition to that creative wish, Carson also wants no more homelessness and for no dogs to be put down. This altruistic young man has many interests and hobbies. In school, his favorite subject is history. After school he likes to attend horse lessons and youth group. He also loves a good snack after school. On the weekends, Carson likes to go swimming, play video games, Legos, toy soldiers, Monopoly, and to play outside. Carson enjoys stand up comedy and his classic taste in comedians might surprise you; he lists Woody Allen and Lily Tomlin as his favorites. His favorite holidays to celebrate are Halloween, Christmas, and the Fourth of July because he likes to go trick or treating and dress up, receive presents, and fireworks. If Carson could go anywhere in the world, he’d choose Florida because he wants to go to Lego Land, Universal Studios, and the beach. When Carson grows up, he wants to be a construction worker. The most important things Carson wants people to know about him are that he’s funny and smart.
“Carson is an amazingly resilient youth who does his best,” says an adult close to him. “Carson has a friendly and empathetic personality, he thrives with appropriate peers and supports and has a huge heart for people and nature.” Carson's future family should encourage him with positive peer relationships and support him as he works on successful peer interactions at school. His family must cheer for his successes such as how helpful he is to teachers and other students, and encourage his academic interests such as history.
Carson would do best with two experienced parents who are trauma trained. He could thrive as an only child or with adoptive siblings. Carson’s new parents must be fierce advocates for the services he needs to function at his best. Carson loves pets, specifically dogs, so he would prefer a home with pets. It is important that Carson have the opportunity to embrace his culture and be provided with people that mirror his racial identity either in the home or in the community. His future family must help support and maintain Carson's relationship with his brother.
