About Michael
Michael takes an interactive approach to school. “Michael is on the principal advisory committee at school which allows him to share his thoughts, suggestions and any ideas relating to school functioning,” says an adult advocate. “He is social and outgoing and enjoys participating in sports, groups and clubs. Michael likes to be involved and would like to continue being involved in teen activities. He also likes to try new things.” Michael serves as a percussionist in the school band, and he participates in wrestling and wants to join the track team. He loves other sports such as football and basketball. Michael’s love of the outdoors shows in the reason why he wants to go to Florida. “It never snows,” he says, “it’s hot, I’d always be able to play basketball outside as well as go hunting and fishing.” In quieter times, Michael enjoys playing video games, listing to music and reading. “Michael is very into anything related to Harry Potter,” says a close adult. Michael shares something in common with Potter author J.K. Rowling because he takes the most pride in writing his book that’s going to be published. But instead of an author, Michael wants to become an engineer when he gets older. He also wants a trillion dollars, a home and a family “consisting of 10 kids,” he says. Michael has plenty of outdoors activities he wants to do with a new forever family such inline skating, fishing, playing sports and being active outdoors. If his family wants a day indoors, he hopes they’ll consider going to sporting events or watching them on TV.
“Michael is very outgoing, active and charismatic,” says one of his close adults. “He loves to joke around, laugh and be in high spirits. Michael can be described as resilient, determined and hard-working. Michael would like a family who enjoys having fun and spending time together.”
Michael needs a patient, understanding and caring parent or parents who are experienced and trauma trained. Michael’s parent or parents must make sure he receives the services that will help him flourish. Finally, Michael loves animals, especially dogs, and hopes for a family who has pets.
