About Tyler
Even if there’s an occasional corny joke being told, you will certainly gain more grins than groans from Tyler, who loves to tell jokes. His comedic skills are only exceeded by his artistic talent. “Tyler enjoys drawing and creating,” says one of his close adults. “He has a great imagination and likes to try new creative techniques.” One of this creative kid’s dreams is to become an artist. Tyler is innovative, too, which helps explain why he likes science the most in school and why he enjoys inventing projects. He’s also an active young man who likes sports such as gymnastics, football and wrestling, and he enjoys swimming, fishing, skateboarding and riding his bike. He likes playing video games, too. Tyler loves listening to music, and it inspires an interest in becoming a rapper when he gets older. On his list of favorite things, Tyler includes purple for color and reptiles – especially snakes -- for animal. He claims his birthday as his favorite holiday, which he likes celebrating by “hanging out and going to dinner.” When he’s asked about what he wants in a forever family, Tyler hopes they’re active and they enjoy going on vacations together.
“Tyler can be very kind and caring,” says an adult close to him. “He likes to engage in conversation with others about things he is interested in. He does well in school with support and is very likeable by peers and teachers.”
Tyler needs a forever family who’s patient and supportive and will advocate for anything he needs to excel. He prefers a single female parent or a mom and dad who are experienced and trauma informed. Tyler would benefit from being in a family who’ll encourage his participation in sports and other extra-curricular activities. He should be the only or youngest child in his new family. He would do well in a home with pets. “Tyler loves animals,” explains one of his close adults, “which can be therapeutic.”
