About Cayden
If Cayden had a genie in a bottle, he’d wish to be able to care for others. And that epitomizes the caring character of Cayden. “He is really good at helping others, and he likes to make people laugh,” says a close adult. He doesn’t include playing a musical instrument on his wish list, but Cayden really wants to learn how to play the guitar. He loves listening to music and enjoys many genres but especially likes rap. Like others his age, Cayden enjoys playing video games, but he likes spending time outside more. “I like playing sports,” he says. “My favorite sports are football, basketball and wrestling.” Cayden has two favorite pro football teams, and when those teams faced each other at the start of the 2023 NFL season, he felt a little torn. “I like the Lions, and I like Kansas City,” Cayden says. “It was kind of hurtful when they had to go against each other.” In addition to sports, Cayden enjoys playing outdoors, going to the park, helping in the garden, going skateboarding and playing basketball. If he could, Cayden would like to join a health center to work out and play basketball in any weather. During quieter times, Cayden likes drawing, painting, listening to music and reading the Harry Potter book series. On his list of favorite things, Cayden includes lime green for color, dogs for animal and history for subject in school. “I just like learning about things in the past,” Cayden says. His favorite food is tacos. “He could eat tacos for every meal,” says a close adult. When he gets older, Cayden wants to become a landscaper, and if he could visit anywhere, he’d travel to San Diego or Florida. “I’d like to go to the beaches and swim with dolphins,” he says. When asked about his future forever family, Cayden says he wants one who’s caring and loving.
“Cayden has a really great sense of humor,” says one of his close adults. “He has great jokes he likes to share with others. Cayden is an awesome kid. He is easygoing, funny and wonderful. He is open to meeting new people and forming new relationships.”
Cayden wants two parents, but he would benefit from having at least one strong male role model. His new parent or parents should be experienced and trauma informed. Cayden would do best as the only or youngest child in his new forever family. He wants a family who is nice and willing to let him participate in his desired activities.
