About Ivy

There’s something unmistakably special about Ivy. Whether she’s twirling across the living room floor or dancing to her favorite tunes, Ivy brings a joyful energy that’s impossible to miss. Music is a big part of her world. She not only loves listening to it but also delights in singing, often belting out “Happy Birthday” as loud as she can when the occasion calls for it. In fact, when she dreams about the future, Ivy imagines herself as a singer, spreading smiles with her voice. That same playful spirit carries over into the way she spends her time. Ivy is happiest when she’s outside, whether swinging on a hammock or tire seeing, playing ball, or enjoying a van ride on the weekend. She especially loves the company of animals and finds comfort and joy in activities like visiting the petting zoo or being around horses. Inside, she keeps her hands busy with slime, Play-Doh, and her beloved sensory and fidget toys. Ivy is very sociable and affectionate, and she thrives when she’s with others. Group therapy, playing board games, and singing with friends after school are some of her favorite ways to connect. And don’t be surprised if she breaks into giggles over a silly face or a funny movie, laughter comes easily to Ivy. Her favorite things are as bright and colorful as she is. She loves the color pink, has a soft spot for all animals, and is proud of the progress she’s made. Ivy is also learning to broaden her food choices, though Skittles, grapes, and cheese sandwiches still top the list. And if she had three wishes, they’d be as heartfelt and sweet as she is: a forever family, unlimited breakfast food, and all the stickers she could ever want.

One of Ivy’s close adults says, “Ivy is very silly and happy. Ivy loves to sing different songs and jingles and is very loving towards her caretakers and enjoys spending time with them.”

Ivy would do best in a forever family that can offer her the supervision, services, and attention she deserves. While a two-parent home is ideal, a single female parent with the right support could be a wonderful fit as well. Her parent or parents should be experienced. Most of all, Ivy needs a family that will love her unconditionally and stand by her now and into the future. If you’re looking for a child full of heart, humor, and hope, Ivy might just be the one to complete your family. She’s ready to share her songs, her cuddles, and her dreams with those who are ready to welcome her home.
