About Jordan
In Jordan’s world, dreams can come true. He uses his impressive imagination while playing video games and building things with Legos. His dream occupation is to become a mechanic or work with animals. When the hunger pangs hit, Jordan dreams of tacos and rice because it’s his favorite foods. Dogs and cats likely fill Jordan’s dreams, too, because they are his favorite animals. Jordan also enjoys going to the park, playing kick ball, walking around the mall, and going out to eat. Friends occupy a pleasant place in Jordan’s dreams as he likes having fun with them by riding bikes and playing video games. When he’s asked what he takes the most pride in, Jordan says his knowledge regarding how to work technology and electronics to play his favorite video games. Jordan says his favorite subject in school is math, and his favorite color is gold. When the holidays roll around, Jordan dreams of Christmas, his favorite because he likes to eat food, and give and receive presents. He dreams of visiting Disney World and enjoying Animal Kingdom, and all the rides there. If his nighttime slumber or daytime dreams involve a genie, Jordan would wish for wealth, a dog and a cat, and to live in a big house. When Jordan’s dreams turn to a new forever family, he imagines them going on vacations together. He wants a family who loves and supports him and who spends time together. He adds that he'd love to have a family who has a dog.
Jordan wants others to know that he can be very independent when he wants to be and doesn’t enjoy being told to do an activity he doesn’t want to do. One of his close adults adds, “Jordan is normally a very happy and well-liked kid, Jordan makes friends with kids and peers wherever he goes, and enjoys meeting new people. Jordan can also be very outgoing at times as he enjoys making jokes to make others laugh.”
Jordan’s new forever family must make sure he receives the services that will help him function at his best. His new parent or parents should be experienced, and trauma informed. Jordan would do best in a structured home in which he receives appropriate attention. Jordan also would benefit from being the youngest child in his new family.
