About Charles
Just call him Charles the filmmaker. He dreams of becoming a professional videographer one day, and he’d travel to California for inspiration in the capital of entertainment. Yes, Charles hopes to head to Los Angeles one day because that’s his dream destination and because “it’s nice,” he says. Charles likely would visit Hollywood to spark his imagination for future filmmaking. He’d also likely visit Tinseltown’s foothills because Charles loves the outdoors. Going to the park with friends is one of his favorite activities along with playing video games with them. Charles loves sports, and football and basketball are two of his favorites. In fact, Charles dreams of playing on a football or basketball team one day. This young dreamer loves Christmas and makes it his favorite holiday. He enjoys opening presents, sleeping in and staying home from school. Some of Charles’ other favorite things include cheetahs for animal, blue and red for color and nachos and pizza for food. His favorite subjects in school are math and gym. When he’s asked the most important things he wants others to know about him, Charles says, “I like being active, telling jokes and playing with dogs.” As a matter of fact, “it is recommended that he be placed in a home with dogs,” says one of Charles’ close adults.
Charles is described as a goofy, observant and friendly young man. “He is very shy and quiet at first,” adds one of his close adults, “but when you get him going, he is a very outgoing and happy youth. Charles is very bright young man and has built a strong sense of resiliency. He means well and can do well in the community when given the right guidance.”
Charles would do best with two parents who are experienced and trauma trained. His new forever family must be strong advocates for the services that will help Charles thrive. In addition, Charles would benefit from patience and commitment as he transitions into his new home. Finally, his family also must be open to letting Charles maintain his sibling relationship.
